A video involving a Philadelphia Eagles fan berating and harassing female Green Bay Packers fan during Saturday’s Wild Card game has got the NFL audience in an outcry, calling upon the harasser to be known.

Internet sleuths have since identified the man as Ryan Caldwell, a New Jersey resident and business analyst at consulting firm BCT Partners. Caldwell has reportedly deleted his social media accounts, including LinkedIn, following the video’s virality, apparently in an attempt to avoid further backlash.

BCT Partners issued a statement addressing the incident, though they did not name Caldwell directly:

The management at BCT Partners has been made aware of a video circulating involving an employee making offensive remarks outside the workplace. BCT Partners denounces this type of behavior, and we take this matter extremely seriously.”

As an organization that has always stood for inclusivity, the conduct displayed was completely unacceptable and stands in direct opposition to our company values. We have already begun a full investigation as an internal personnel matter to determine what actions will be taken. We sincerely apologize to everyone affected by this behavior and remain committed to fostering a culture of respect for all.”

BCT Partners is a consulting firm with an emphasis on promoting equity in fields such as diversity, health, education, and workforce development. The incident put the firm under the spotlight, as its mission was tainted by the event.

As the Eagles celebrated their 22-10 victory, sending them to the NFC Divisional Round, their win was somewhat overshadowed by this disturbing event in the stands.

The fight started when a Green Bay Packers fan, attending the game with her fiancé, Alexander Basara, was subjected to endless verbal abuse from the Eagles supporter. Basara posted a video of the altercation on social media, which features Caldwell, easily identifiable by his gray beard and Eagles jacket, hurling vicious insults, including calling her an “ugly dumb c***.

What is it like to go to Philly just to root for your team. Unprovoked, uncalled for. This isn’t okay. I hate my fiancée had to deal with this because she was just cheering for her team. Let’s find out who this is. honestly disgusting human being.

Witnesses said the abuse continued throughout the game, after the woman attempted to ignore Caldwell. The video went viral quickly, and it was widely condemned.

While most Eagles fans were embarrassed and asserted that this action does not speak for the fans, the situation has left a stain on what should have been a celebratory moment for the team.

Despite a strong game for the Eagles that included forcing three interceptions from Packers quarterback Jordan Love, the post-game conversation has been more focused on the troubling altercation than on the team’s success.

At the time of this writing, the Eagles have not commented on the situation, and Caldwell has not gone public with a comment.
