GTA 6 Release Date Confirmed – Here’s When You Can Play!
The highly anticipated announcement is finally here — but with the twist that many dreaded. Grand Theft Auto VI finally has an official release date: May 26, 2026. This is a delay from the originally scheduled fall 2025 release, setting the game’s arrival back a little more than a year.
“We apologize sincerely for this delay,” Rockstar Games stated. “The sheer scale of interest and enthusiasm for the new Grand Theft Auto has been genuinely humbling for all our staff. We thank you personally for your patience and support while we keep on working to get the game complete.”
Rockstar insisted that additional time is necessary “to get the quality right that you’ve come to expect and deserve from us.”
The follow-up to Rockstar’s classic urban crime epic is one of the most eagerly awaited games of all time, particularly considering that over a decade has elapsed since GTA V hit the shelves in September 2013. Fans have so far only been treated to a solitary trailer dropped in late 2023. The new release date announcement did not come with any new images.
But fans will get more information soon, with fresh shots likely to be revealed within the next few months.
