Lauren Sánchez took a fashion cue reminiscent of Hillary Clinton’s iconic look—but with her own twist.

The fiancée of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos wore a dramatic white pantsuit to President Donald Trump’s inauguration, which took place indoors in the Capitol Hill rotunda because freezing weather gripped Washington, D.C.

It resembled the pantsuit Clinton wore to Trump’s first inauguration in 2017, just months after her defeat by him in the 2016 presidential race.

Several women seated among Trump’s political allies also wore the classic color when Sánchez embraced the white ensemble.

Clinton first popularized the white pantsuit at the 2016 Democratic National Convention as a nod to the suffragist movement. The symbolism carried into the Women’s March in 2017, and though smaller in scale, a protest echoing that spirit took place in Washington ahead of Trump’s second inauguration.

As always, Sánchez’s fashion was the talk of social media. “Lauren Sánchez looks both stunning and seasonally appropriate in winter white. A great choice for the occasion!” one X user praised. Others, however, criticized her outfit for being too daring for the event—a critique Sánchez has faced in the past for her bold style choices.
